In this biannual open edition, we present 11 articles related to disciplines of engineering, environmental sciences, and technologies, framing interesting research topics and technical application results on the environment, hydrography, agriculture, clean industry, informatics, and power. In this volume, we have the contribution of national and foreign authors affiliated with important regional and international universities.
In topics related to the environment and sustainability, relevant research is presented on: the development of an automated system to control the consumption of regenerated glycol supplied to the natural gas dehydration system; the Design of a biodigester for animal excreta to the environment whose decomposition produces gases that contribute to global warming. The creation of regionalized maps of precipitation parameters is also proposed to better estimate the Intensity-Duration-Frequency (IDF) curves in areas of low-density rainfall stations off the coast of Ecuador to avoid overestimation or underestimation of precipitation in sectors without data.
