The Revista Tecnológica ESPOL: RTE gladly presents the first regular volume of 2025. Volume 37 no. 1 consists of twenty articles that are organized in two sections. The Special Section: Social Justice in the Contemporary World, in collaboration with Global Migration Policy Associates (GMPA), brings together ten articles by authors from various regions that address global challenges from a social justice perspective. The Open Multidisciplinary Section: Science for Development also includes ten applied research articles organized in three areas: Innovation in Education, with active and contextualized proposals to improve learning; Technology and Applied Management, with solutions based on data and artificial intelligence for sectors such as telecommunications, energy and business; and Agro-industry and Environment, which addresses studies from agricultural diseases to food alternatives and water quality. This issue reflects the thematic diversity and the commitment of our journal to the generation of applied knowledge to solve real challenges in local and global contexts.
