scientific, and technological research, driving the advancement of knowledge and the development of
society in a meaningful way.
History and Description
In 1976, the Revista Tecnológica Espol - RTE℗
of the
Escuela Superior Politecnica del Litoral, started as a printed journal. It has been characterized by
publishing articles with scientific and technological information. It began with institutional funds
within our university budget, with the purpose of promoting formative research at ESPOL, as well as
preparing future researchers in their process of scientific publications in all areas of knowledge
related to their undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
Since 2005, the Revista Tecnológica Espol -
RTE℗ of the
Escuela Superior Politecnica del Litoral is available online, as a digital journal. It addresses
multidisciplinary issues on a scientific and technological level in various areas of knowledge. The
Revista Tecnológica Espol - RTE℗ mainly publishes novel and original scientific research
articles, by
national and international authors. It also publishes technical articles on practical applications,
exploratory studies and literature reviews that support and encourage the work of potential and future
researchers.
Publishing and indexing media
The Revista Tecnológica Espol - RTE℗ is
published digitally
and in open access on its platform rte.espol.edu.ec. It
is registered in several
indexes and database directories and has a continuous evaluation process of new forms of indexing that
allow greater visibility for published articles and their authors.
The Revista Tecnológica Espol - RTE℗ upholds
open access
policies without submission, reviewing, publication, or access fees.
Publishing schedule
The Revista Tecnológica Espol - RTE℗ presents
scheduled
calls for article submissions (Call for papers) in Spanish or English languages, guaranteeing the
publication of two volumes per year (in June and December). In addition, special volumes-issues are
produced on a specific topic (such as a Monograph or Dossier) related to scientific events (ie.
Congresses or symposiums). In the case of international special issues, articles in other languages can
be published in agreement with the Guest editors if the title and abstract are also included in Spanish
and English.

Vol. 37 No. 2 (2025): REGULAR VOLUME (DIC,2025) - Multidisciplinary Open Section: Advances in Education, Sustainability,and Technology. Special Section: Business Innovation and Sustainability – 1st CICAFISE 2025
Revista Tecnológica Espol – RTE® is pleased to present its second regular volume of 2025. Volume 37, No. 2 comprises eighteen articles organized into two sections. The Open Multidisciplinary Section: Advances in Education, Sustainability, and Technology presents ten papers organized into three thematic areas: Education, Skills, and Emerging Technologies; Engineering, Energy, and Sustainability; and Technological Innovation and Advanced Systems. The Special Section on Innovation and Business Sustainability – I CICAFISE 2025, produced in collaboration with the Universidad Nacional de Loja, compiles eight articles selected from the First International Congress on Research in Accounting, Auditing, and Finance, and contains proposals for strengthening organizations and business decision-making.
This volume features contributions with an international scope, demonstrating the convergence of different disciplines in the generation of knowledge relevant to sustainable development, the improvement of educational processes, and the practical application of technological innovation, thereby strengthening global academic exchange.
